Pacific Pond and Aquarium sent over Kaelib Medina to check out an old, beat up pond and the two adult red ear slider turtles inside. These all recently came to me and I had ZERO idea how to deal with the pond or the turtles. Luckily, Kaelib has a lot of knowledge about both and also owns turtles himself. He took pictures of the pond, got me a quote, then came back and throughly cleaned and refilled the pond. He also checked on the turtles for me, built them some nice stone pads to sun themselves on, and put together a little stair area for them. We talked about filters and will also be installing a new lining to replace the leaky one. Here’s the thing I think is important and it’s once again why I rarely give reviews unless they are really warranted. Kaelib came over and did great work at a very reasonable price. And that alone is fantastic. But when you are in over your head like I was, what’s really nice about excellent service is when they go above and beyond and actually help you. You learn. You get valuable information and time in an area you don’t know anything about. What you are really paying for here isn’t just his labor… it’s his EXPERTISE. THAT’S the real deal and worth way more than what I was charged. It’s very clear that these guys know their stuff and it’s not “just a job” for them. This is what they do professionally as well as at home themselves. I am very lucky to have found Pacific Pond and grateful to Kaelib for his time and for his sharing of knowledge. You all know how hard it is to find someone you trust nowadays, and I trust these guys without question. If you find yourselves in need, give Pacific Pond a call (and ask for Kaelib!)
