About the Role

Pacific Pond & Aquarium is seeking a dependable, hands-on Field Service Technician to help maintain and build high-end koi ponds, waterfalls, aquariums, and water features throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, solving problems, learning technical systems, and being part of a specialized team. No prior pond experience is required — we provide hands-on training.

Our technicians work throughout the SFV, West LA, Beverly Hills, Thousand Oaks, and surrounding areas servicing residential water features, troubleshooting equipment, supporting construction projects, and ensuring excellent client experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintaining koi ponds, aquariums, waterfalls, and filtration systems
• Assisting with pond construction and repair projects
• Diagnosing pumps, filtration, and water quality issues
• Learning fish health and water chemistry
• Driving to multiple client locations daily
• Providing professional, friendly customer interaction onsite

Training Includes

• Water chemistry
• Fish and koi health basics
• Pumps and filtration systems
• Leak detection and troubleshooting
• Aquatic maintenance procedures
• Construction support and repair work

Requirements

• Clean driving record (No DUI or reckless driving)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Strong communication and professionalism with clients

Helpful But Not Required

• Aquarium or pond hobby experience
• Construction, landscaping, plumbing, or maintenance background
• Experience working in field service environments

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, typically 8AM–5PM
• Some Saturdays, as needed
• Full-time with potential long-term growth opportunities
• Starting pay: $20/hr
• Vehicle allowance available if using personal vehicle
• Opportunity for advancement based on performance and skill development
